Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Manisha Koirala are the subjects of this one. They were at one other’s throats because of a guy. As part of her efforts to clarify her position, Aishwarya granted a lengthy interview to Showtime magazine.
Back in 1994, there were rumours that Aishwarya and Rajeev Mulchandani would be splitting up. Five years later, Aishwarya revealed that a prominent publication broke the story that Rajeev had abandoned her for Manisha at the beginning of 1994. Rajeev was the first person I phoned when I heard about this, wondering what was going on. Rajeev was a close buddy of mine, but that’s all there was to it. “I didn’t want to become involved in their romance,” I told him. He and his girlfriend stopped seeing one other after a two-month period of time. Each month Manisha was seeing a different man,” she said. Now that appears to be a distant memory. She’s happily married to Abhishek Bachchan, and it’s a happy marriage.
