The 37th PRAGATI conference saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi examine eight projects worth Rs 1.26 lakh crore spanning 14 states, as well as the ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ plan that was unveiled in 2014.
He urged authorities to study all of the potential uses of the technology platform built under the ONORC plan while analyzing it.
Modi underlined the importance of prompt completion of the projects in his remarks.
For example, PRAGATI is an abbreviation for the Centre and state government’s ICT-based multimode platform for pro-active governance and timely implementation.
Out of eight projects, three were from the Ministries of Railways and Road Transport & Highways; two were from the Ministry of Power.
Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttrakhand, Manipur, and Delhi are among the states covered by these agreements, according to the PMO’s announcement.
According to the report, the prime minister also instructed state officials to monitor the development of oxygen plants and the availability of hospital beds, noting that 292 projects with a total cost of Rs 13.78 lakh crore had been evaluated in the previous 36 PRAGATI sessions.
