Indian automotive manufacturer Tata Motors recently debuted the “Tiago EV,” its third electric vehicle. The Tiago EV will be one of the ten models the firm has committed to launching by 2026 and will sit below the Tigor EV in the brand’s electrified line-up.
The Tiago EV was initially displayed as a concept at a UK event and then at India’s Auto Expo 2018. It is anticipated to be on sale in the upcoming months.
According to media reports, Tata Motors will introduce the Tiago EV later this month. It is anticipated to cost around Rs 10 lakh, making it the least expensive EV made by any manufacturer in the sector.
The new Tiago EV from Tata Motors would also be the smallest electric vehicle in the nation, indicating that its battery size, vehicle power, and features would be the least advanced in the EV lineup of the company. The precise cost, driving range, and other information would be disclosed at the time of its launch.
Although the Tata Tiago EV’s official specifications have not yet been released, it is anticipated that it will share a platform and powertrain with the Tigor EV.
The company might give the automobile a base motor with 41 horsepower and 105 pound-feet of torque in order to keep it affordable and sustainable for buyers. Two battery options for the Tiago EV are also available: a 16.5 kWh model with a 165 km range and a 21.5 kWh model with a 213 km range.
Like its sibling Tigor EV, the Tiago EV might have a split battery pack. The Tiago EV from Tata Motors may revolutionize both the company’s business and the mass-market EV category in India thanks to its competitive pricing and feature set.
