Carl Pei’s Nothing appears to be branching beyond music goods, as it is now rumored to be developing a smartphone. Carl Pei was a co-founder of OnePlus before founding Nothing, thus he would employ his finest skills and expertise while working on a phone for Nothing. Nothing has only released a single pair of TWS earbuds, the Nothing earphones, so far (1). However, we may soon see more and a wider range of products from the Pei-led firm.
According to GSMarena, nothing is working on a phone that will be released in 2022. Nothing’s relationship with Qualcomm Technologies and its Snapdragon platform to power future electronic goods has sparked these rumors. In a statement, Pei stated that the new partnership will help the brand expand into other product categories as part of its ecosystem.
In terms of Nothing’s products, the company’s first-ever audio product was a great hit and received exceptionally well by the public. Nothing had been revealed in a statement that it had shipped over 100,000 units in less than two months after the introduction of the earphones last month (1). The earbuds were launched in India at a competitive price of Rs 5499, and they include ANC and airless charging. The device received a lot of positive feedback from both the audience and the critics.
